I am an independent curator, historian and interpretation consultant creating content for museums, historic sites, broadcasters and publishers. I research, write and edit text and source images, film and artefacts. I then work with graphic, 3-D and AV designers to see these realised in exhibition form. I also carry out oral history interviews and run interpretation and text-writing workshops for museums.

My clients include national, regional and local museums, historic buildings and heritage sites and cultural institutions as well as exhibition designers, across the United Kingdom and Ireland. Learn more about my experience and some of my recent projects on my LinkedIn profile.

Although many of my projects have had a 20th century focus I have worked on projects across a wide range of other historic periods and locations from Neolithic Ireland to the recent war in Syria. I am also a Trustee of the Maritime Belfast Trust, which preserves and promotes the city’s rich maritime heritage.
